I was thoroughly impressed with the food! So tasty and unique! I would say this is now ranked one of the best restaurants in Boston for me! The Seafood paella was to die for!! I also loved their tapas! The eggplant tapas and the mushroom were my favorite! The vibes were also good to hang out for drinks! The staff are nice and attentive! However, a minus point was I felt we were rushed out of the restaurant.

Very attentive wait staff, constantly had refills on water and bread. Food was fantastic. One of the managers really stood out (Liam). He was courteous and helped go over some of the wine choices with us when we asked (helped us get a great pick). Had a great time, definitely will return.

Crazy wait even with a reservation on a Friday at 9:30pm. Honestly such a great vibe to wait and I don't even like wine and I LOVED the rose sangria. We got the patatas bravas, ricotta toast, croquettes, chicken thighs and Brussels with the standouts being the Patatas bravas and Ricotta toast BUT will say the ricotta toast was better when we asked for more fresh bread that came out soft and warm vs crunchy. This place is a must try especially when hosting for great vibes and great service despite the packed atmosphere, the servers really battle through it for your table.

Whenever we come to visit Boston which is twice a year, and I ask my friends where do you want to go, it's always Barcelona. When I told my husband, his response "of course it is!" Honestly why ruin a tried and true place, good tapas, good sangria- I have never had a bad experience from the many years we would come here. The only negative part is whenever we get the charcuterie board we always forget our favorite cheese. But whatever we end up picking up never disappoints. My favorites is the paella but order that first because it takes 20-40 minutes depending how busy it is.

A note about reservations: we had an 8:30pm reservation and waited over 45 minutes for our table to be ready. It honestly felt like user error for going at that time on a Thursday night, but I'd have appreciated a more accurate estimate at check-in. The food is solid. As a pescatarian, the menu is cut in about half but there were still plenty of options for us. Note mostly for my future self: Re-order the grilled leeks with green romesco, potato tortilla, seared scallops, burrata salad. Skip parsnips. Avoid planning a trip at peak times.

It was my first time here and let me tell you, I was impressed! We were here with a decently large group for a celebration. We had a reservation made and the process of getting our table was super easy, despite a very busy dinner rush! Honestly, we definitely would not have had a table for a long time without a reservation, so definitely make sure to do that if you want a table in particular time window. We had great service all night, refilling water and drinks, checking in on us, and taking great care of everyone in our party. The ambiance here is special! While the restaurant and bar were packed the whole night, we still had a sense of intimacy at our table and the noise wasn't too overwhelming. We tried a lot of different tapas dishes as well as a few paellas to share. I personally loved the patatas bravas (without the cheese) and the vegetable paella. Very easy to share and I love how you can really order to mix and match. I wasn't sure how the portions would be, but they were pretty fair. None of us left hungry! I could see how this place would be great for date nights, nights out with friends, or other family/friend dinners. There is something here that everyone can enjoy, and when in doubt, just get the patatas bravas. I promise, you will not be disappointed. Super easy to get to by train, or just stroll down Beacon Street. There is also some parking along Beacon, so it's super accessible to get to if you're in the Boston area. Would highly recommend to check out. I look forward to the next excuse I have to come back!

This has been me and my SO's go-to date night spot for the last few years and it never disappoints. Only down side is how popular it is - so definitely recommend to make a reservation ahead of time! The patatas bravas are to die for - still don't understand how one restaurants can make potatoes taste so good. Paellas are also a classic, with the option to choose from more meat-heavy (e.g. pork belly, chorizo, chicken) to seafood (e.g. mussels, squid, clams) to more veggie-based (e.g. asparagus, mushrooms, zucchini). Can't go wrong with anything on the menu - order lots and be ready to share!
